Born in Bern, Switzerland. He moves to Sicily, where he starts to study music playing the French horn at Ist. Musicale “V. Bellini” di Catania. In 1992 he graduates under M. Riccardo Paratore guidance. As an instrumentalist he boasts multiple collaborations with notorious young orchestras: Fiesole, Lanciano, Bruxelles, Sinfonica Siciliana e Pacini in Catania. In 1999 he begins his main career as an orchestra leader, directing many concerts and operas, obtaining vast approvals from the public, drawing press services’ attention on himself. Francesco collaborates with famous orchestra leaders such as C.M. Giulini, D. Renzetti, Georg Solti, Gennardij Nikolaevič Rozdestvenskij. Francesco participated in various European tours, leading in prestigious theaters in Germany and The Netherlands, working together with multiple orchestras, such as:
ITALY: Teatro Maruccino in Chieti, L’Aquila’s sinfonica, Lecce’s symphonic, Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese, besides various festival formations.
BULGARIA: Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Pazadjik theaters.
UKRAIN: Kiev, Zaparoja, Odessa Lugansk, Donetsk, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk theaters.
RUSSIA: Udmirtia and Rostov theaters.
HUNGARY Pec theatre.
CZECH REP. : Budvais, Brno, Ostrava theaters.
MEXICO: Guanajuato theater.
He performed in Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Malta, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, USA, China. Counting more than 300 opera gala concerts and sinfonic repertoire, plus multiple opera leads. He recorded many CD and DVD for Bongiovanni and Kikkomusic and Opera Discovery.
